5 things to do in 2022 during your stay at Newgale Holidays

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2022! After a challenging two years, we are very glad to be welcoming in the New Year with a fresh start. We are looking forward to making new memories and taking part in new activities. We have constructed a list of five things you must do during your stay at Newgale Holidays in 2022! 

1. Explore the Pembrokeshire Coast Path

Why not explore at least some of the 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path? It’s the perfect thing to do during your stay at Newgale Holidays as the coast path is right on the doorstep. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is known for its incredible scenery and wildlife. Pack a bag with some snacks to fuel the journey and some water in case you get thirsty and head on out to the coast! There are lots of different walks to go on and if you aren’t sure where to go there are routes along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path already planned out for you. 2. Take a boat trip 

Why not take a boat trip during your stay at Newgale Holidays? It is the perfect way to spot some incredible wildlife and make new memories that will stick with you forever! Voyages of Discovery offer a few different boat trips so you can find the perfect one for you. They have different boat trips depending on what you want to see. The trips we have found to be popular with guests are the Ramsey Island Voyage which lasts an hour and takes you around Ramsey Island to spot some caves, porpoises, seals and birds. Another trip popular with our guests is the Whale and Dolphin Boat Trip which lasts 2.5 hours, you can expect to see whales, dolphins, gannets, seals, puffins and so much more.  

3. Explore the local shops 

Another thing you can do during your stay at Newgale Holiday is exploring local shops. Head over to St Davids for a perfect day out shopping, it is less than a twenty-minute drive away. Whether you are looking for something for the arty type, the fashionista or the sporty type, there’s something for everyone. Try Joules, Fat Face or Crew Clothing for the fashion-forward family member. Take a trip over to Ma Simes, Mountain Warehouse and TYF to find all the sporting gear you need. Traipse around the National Trust shop, Basalt & Dune and Sova Woollen Mill to find incredible artwork and chic pieces for everyone. 

4. Try a new sport 

Looking to try a new sport in 2022, look no further! As the local area is surrounded by the sea there are plenty of opportunities to take part in water sports during your stay at Newgale Holidays. Whether you have some knowledge or are a complete beginner Pembrokeshire is the perfect place to start. There are lots of different places that offer lessons in just about every water sport you can imagine. You can try surfing, kayaking, coasteering, paddleboarding, canoeing and much more! Newsurf is the only company that offers surf lessons on Newgale Beach, no matter what your skill level is there is a class you can take.  TYF is an adventure company based in St Davids, they teach just about every watersport you can think of. They run incredible lessons for everyone regardless of ability!

5. Go Stargazing

Have you ever seen the stars in Pembrokeshire before? They are incredible! With so little light pollution in the night sky, the stars are magical. All you need to do is pack a bag with some blankets to lie on as the ground tends to be a little cold and a flask with a nice warm drink, our favourite is hot chocolate! Make sure to wrap up warm with a big coat on, you can even put on a hat, gloves and scarf so you can watch the stars for as long as possible. There is something even more magical about watching the stars on the beach too! So why not take a trip down to Newgale Beach to stargaze during your stay at Newgale Holidays?
