A Christmas Trip To St David’s City

The Christmas lights and tree 

Something you must take a look at on your Christmas trip to St David’s is the string lights and Christmas tree. The whole city looks magical at Christmas time, all of the streets are lit with incredibly beautiful twinkling lights. They make the whole place feel different and somehow more special! There is even a wonderfully tall tree right in the city centre, adorned with lights, it really is magical!

Another reason you should take a Christmas trip to St David’s is that the whole city is full of fabulous shops, galleries, and boutiques. If you are looking for unique little shops with incredible gifts for everyone you know, look no further. Do you have a water sports enthusiast in your family? Check out Ma Simes Surf Hut or TYF they both sell incredible surf gear, wonderful clothes, and amazing accessories. St Davids is packed full of incredible artists with galleries all over the small city. Fashionista in your family? Try shopping in FatFace, Joules or Crew Clothing to find the perfect present.

Though there aren’t many pubs in St David’s every single one is unique and wonderful in its own way. During the cold winter months, each pub has an open wood fire, keeping the room warm and cosy. It’s the perfect place to stop during your Christmas trip for a bite to eat and a warming drink. Why not try The Bishops for some delicious pub staples. The Farmers is the perfect place for some drinks, snacks and a game or pool. The Cross Hotel is the perfect place for a family dinner before you head back to Newgale Holidays after your Christmas trip. 

The Cathedral 

A perfect Christmas treat is taking a visit to St David’s Cathedral on your Christmas trip. The Cathedral seems even more magical at Christmas time. The harmonious choir can be heard singing hymns from all around. If you fancy it you can even join in Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve in the Cathedral. That will be a Christmas memory you will never forget!

Delicious Christmas Dinner 

One of the most important things on your Christmas trip is food! (We think so anyway!) There are so many incredible places in St David’s to stop for some delicious treats. Head over to the St David’s Cross Hotel, based right on the square in the centre of St Davids. It is a fabulous place to go for food and drinks. The building is over 200 years old and has been serving guests since 1899. Alternatively, head over to The Mill Cafe for a delicious Christmas dinner that will leave you ready to explode!
