What a Summer It’s Been at Newgale Holidays

As another summer begins to draw to a close, we’ve found ourselves looking back through photos and thinking about all the wonderful people who’ve stayed with us over the past couple of months.

What a season it’s been. From the start of July right through August, Pembrokeshire treated us to the kind of summer we all dream about. Day after day of blue skies, warm sunshine and spectacular sunsets over St Brides Bay. We honestly couldn’t have asked for better weather.

It has been a real pleasure welcoming so many guests to our cottages. Whether you were visiting as a couple celebrating a special occasion, a family making the most of the school holidays or simply taking a few days to escape everyday life, we hope you leave with memories that last long after the suitcases have been unpacked.

One of our favourite moments is hearing guests say they spent the evening sitting outside with a glass of wine, watching the sun disappear over the bay. It’s something we never take for granted ourselves, and it’s one of the reasons we feel so lucky to call this little corner of Pembrokeshire home.

Being just a two-minute drive from Newgale Beach means days can be as busy or as relaxed as you like. Some guests fill every day with coastal walks, surfing, boat trips and exploring picturesque villages, while others are perfectly happy spending an afternoon on the beach before heading back to the cottage to enjoy the view.

That’s exactly how holidays should be.

Although summer is coming to an end, we always think late August and September have a magic of their own. The beaches become a little quieter, the sea is beautifully warm after weeks of sunshine, and the whole coastline seems to slow down.
