A Spring Holiday in Pembrokeshire – A New Season Begins
Comments Off on A Spring Holiday in Pembrokeshire – A New Season BeginsApril is one of our favourite times of year here in Pembrokeshire. After the quieter winter months, the coastline begins to feel alive again. The days grow longer, the sea air feels a little softer, and the countryside slowly fills with colour as spring takes hold. For us at Newgale Holidays, April also signals something else we always look forward to – the start of another wonderful season, and welcoming guests back to our collection of dog-friendly cottages for a spring holiday in Pembrokeshire.
Having lived here for many years, one of the greatest pleasures is watching the seasons change along the coast. Spring brings a special kind of beauty to the area around Newgale Beach, with wildflowers appearing along the lanes, seabirds returning to the cliffs, and the famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path beginning to buzz with walkers again. It’s a time when everything feels fresh and full of possibility.
One of the things we love most is seeing the transformation in our guests as they settle into their holiday. Many arrive after busy weeks at work or long journeys, but it rarely takes long before the pace of coastal life works its magic. A walk along Newgale’s two miles of golden sand, the sound of the waves rolling in, and that unmistakable Pembrokeshire sea air often does wonders for helping people unwind.

April is also a fantastic time to visit Pembrokeshire for a spring holiday. The county’s famous beaches are peaceful and spacious, perfect for dog walks and family adventures. The surrounding countryside is bursting with life, and the coastal paths offer breathtaking views across St Brides Bay. For guests staying in our cottages, it’s the ideal moment to explore the area without the busier summer crowds.
Being dog-friendly cottages near Newgale Beach, we’re always delighted to welcome four-legged visitors too. Spring is a brilliant time for dogs to explore Pembrokeshire. From wide sandy beaches to scenic woodland trails and coastal paths, many of our guests tell us that their dogs enjoy the holiday just as much as they do!
As we head into another summer season, we feel incredibly lucky to share this beautiful corner of Wales with visitors from near and far. Every year we welcome returning guests who have fallen in love with Pembrokeshire, as well as new visitors discovering it for the first time.
If you’re planning a Pembrokeshire holiday this spring or summer, April is the perfect time to start thinking about your visit. The landscape is waking up, the coastline is as stunning as ever, and our cottages are ready to welcome you.
We look forward to welcoming you to Newgale Holidays and sharing the beauty of Pembrokeshire with you this season.
